The Yew Tree Gallery
Yew Tree Gallery, a subsidiary of Ambleside Gallery, is a cooperative gallery located at 604 South Elm Street, Greensboro, NC. The gallery offers original fine art in a beautifully arranged open and inviting layout. Yew Tree is home to 20 North Carolina artists whose work encompasses many styles and media including oils, acrylic, watercolor and pastels. The gallery also features pottery and finely crafted objects d’art.
Our hours are Wednesday & Thursday from 11:00 – 5:00, Friday & Saturday from 11:00 – 6:00, or by appointment.
We are always open on the first Friday of each month from
6:00 – 9:00. For more information on first Fridays, visit www.downtownfridays.com
Our Mission
We believe art is for everyone. We want a visit to Yew Tree to be an experience that you will enjoy and remember. Our goal is to provide an environment that excites the senses and broadens understanding, and so we have an ever evolving inventory of work that our own Leigh Rodenbough has referred to as a “smorgasbord” of art.
Call for Artists
Founded in March of 2008, the gallery is now home to 16 painters and 5 potters. The relocation
of the gallery from 524 S. Elm Street is allowing us to expand and Yew Tree is now accepting
applications from artists who wish to have their work juried. Although there still may not be
enough space to accommodate all who qualify, the Gallery will keep a waiting list of interested
artists to be contacted if future vacancies arise.
If you are interested in joining Yew Tree Gallery, contact Jackson Mayshark at 336-275-9844 or jackson@amblesidearts.com. He will send you an application form and arrange for you to bring
your work before the jury committee.
